Kian Global Liquidation, LLC has an opening for a Polymer Processing Sales Engineer in Costa Mesa, CA.
DUTIES: Manage technical sales process, determine product feasibility, handle customer needs and configurations, and technical set up. Provide technical expertise and consultation to clients regarding the capabilities and suitability of machinery and industrial equipment for their specific applications. Understand client requirements and recommend appropriate machinery solutions based on technical knowledge and industry experience. Evaluate and inspect used machineries in industries such as material processing, packaging, lab equipment, medical devices, and assessing equipment condition, functionality, and performance. Conduct product presentations to highlight the features and benefits of used, preowned, and refurbished machinery and equipment. Perform assessments of client needs and application requirements to provide tailored equipment solutions. Stay abreast of market emerging technologies so as to be able to address client technical needs in light of market trends. Manage refurbishment projects and monitor different stages of the process to achieve functional and reliable products performance. Work closely with the maintenance and procurement teams to ensure the availability and readiness of equipment for sale.
Domestic travel 2-3x for 2-3 day periods annually for machinery troubleshooting, servicing, & industry events.
REQUIRES: Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field and five (5) years of pre or post Master’s experience in related industries working with relevant machinery used in polymer industrial processing, including injection molding, mold making, injection blow molding, extrusion, film blowing, compounding, and mixing.
Experience must include:
- Five (5) years of hands-on experience in material processing with technical expertise in applications, including packaging, medical devices, lighting, and electronics.
- Three (3) years of hands-on experience in working with lab equipment used in polymer processing, such as Tensile, Impact Resistance, MFI, and general chemical laboratories equipment.
- Two (2) years of experience with project management tools, and methodologies, such as SCRUM or PMBOK.
- Two (2) years of experience developing technical know-how and solutions based on emerging market trends.
- Two (2) year track record developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
